Salary: $40,275 to $49,081 Annually Salary is based on education & experience

Job Description: Provides daytime emergency services/response, information, referral, and intake services to adults and children in Brazos County who have mental/emotional difficulties or illnesses. The services provided include both telephone and face-to-face assessments in the office and in community settings such as the local hospital Emergency Room and medical floors, jails, and in some cases an MHMRABV location other than home office. During face-to-face interviews, obtain relevant historical, social, functional, psychiatric, developmental, or other information from the individual and/or family seeking services and determine if additional assessments are needed. If additional assessments are needed, ensure that assessments are arranged/coordinated. Also provides information/education about services available, both through MHMRABV as well as community resources, making referrals as indicated. On a rotating basis, serves as a member of the after-hours crisis Staff on Call team, performing screening and assessments for persons in psychiatric crisis, and arranges/coordinates crisis resolution based on assessment outcomes. Crisis on Call work required as agency need dictates.
Education: Requires Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral, social sciences, humanities, or education field.
Experience: Prefer experience working with individuals with behavioral health issues.
Hours of Work: Typically, 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday—Friday; need to have a flexible schedule to accommodate needs of program and families. Crisis on Call work required as agency need dictates.
Licenses/Certifications: Ability to be credentialed as Qualified Mental Health Professional. Valid Texas driver’s license and are insurable by agency insurance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment (ANSA) certification.
Physical Requirements: Light lifting under 15lbs., moderate carrying 15-44lbs., simple grasping, walking, sitting, standing, operating a motor vehicle, operating office equipment including a computer, ability to see and hear (with aid), ability to read, write, and count, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to work closely with others, and the ability to pass the Preventative Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) Training as well as all other physical requirements for this position
