Salary: $40,275 to $49,081 Annually                      Salary is based on education & experience

Job Description: Provides mental health services to children with serious emotional/behavioral disorders and to their families according to routine and intensive case management models; conduct activities to assist a child gain access to medical, social, educational, and other appropriate services that help a child achieve a quality of life and community participation acceptable to the child and family; provides skills training to the child and family to improve functioning in home, school and community, applies understanding of child/youth behavioral health and cultural sensitivity to work collaboratively with families, their supports, other professionals, and community partners to develop individualized, family determined, strength-based plans of care through the wraparound planning process; Crisis on Call work required as agency need dictates.
Education: Requires Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral, social sciences, humanities or education field
Experience: Prefer 2-3 years of previous casework or teaching experience with children/youth with mental illness.
Hours of Work: 8am—5pm Monday—Friday, generally at times may need to have a flexible schedule to accommodate needs of program and families.
Licenses/Certifications: Ability to be credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Professional; valid Texas driver’s license and insurable by Agency insurance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) certification as well as NWIC Wraparound Facilitator certification
Physical Requirements: Light lifting under 15lbs., moderate carrying 15-44lbs., simple grasping, walking, standing, operating a motor vehicle, operating office equipment including a computer, ability to see and hear (with aid), ability to read, write, count, ability to maintain confidentiality, and ability to work closely with others; ability to pass the Preventative Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) Training as well as all other physical requirements for this position.
