Salary: $40,275 to $49,081 Annually                    Salary is based on education & experience

Job Description:  Provides mental health services to children with serious emotional/behavioral disorders and to their families according to routine and intensive case management models; conducts activities to assist a child gain access to medical, social, educational and other appropriate services that help a child achieve a quality of life and community participation acceptable to the child and family; provides wraparound planning to children with multiple complex needs; provides skills training to the child and family to improve functioning in home, school and community.

Education:  Required Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral, social sciences, humanities, or education field.

Experience:  Prefers previous casework or teaching experience with persons with mental illness.

Hours of Work:  8 am - 5 pm Monday – Friday; At times may need to have a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of programs and families.

Licenses/Certifications: Ability to be credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Professional; valid Texas Driver’s license and insurable by Agency insurance; Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment (ANSA) certification as well as Illness, Management and Recovery (IMR) certification.

Physical Requirements:  Light lifting under 15 lbs., moderate carrying 15-44 lbs., simple grasping, walking, sitting, standing, operating a motor vehicle, operating office equipment including a computer, ability to see and hear (with aid), ability to read, write and count, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to work closely with others; ability to pass the Preventative Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) Training as well as all other physical requirements for this position.
