Salary: $32,612.63 to $36,069.94 Annually          Salary is based on education & experience

Job Description: This position supports day to day operations by performing administrative tasks and ensuring high quality customer service to our clients.  This position performs various tasks on a daily basis, and must be able to multitask and prioritize.  Expectation to handle sensitive information confidentially is also essential.  Ensure our behavioral health care office operates efficiently by accurately completing administrative tasks in a timely manner.  Responsibilities include updating and maintaining client’ health records; assisting clients with paperwork; scheduling and coordinating client appointments; using medical software to support all transactions; answer clients’ queries and ensure quality customer service; collaborate with prescribers, nurses, and clinical staff to help with client care; ensure compliance with procedures.  Support services also involve typing letters, memos and reports; answering phones and taking messages; filing; data entry; maintenance of unit supplies; completing purchase orders, reservations, and travel requests; collecting travel vouchers, timesheets, and collecting and distributing unit mail. The staff member must have excellent team participation, organization and time management skills. 

Education: Required High School diploma or high school equivalency certificate issued in accordance with the law of the issuing state.

Experience: Relevant experience in administrative support services with basic computer knowledge. Ability to maintain clerical records, prepare routine reports, ability to make basic mathematical computations and to understand and follow oral instructions. Have some knowledge of medical terminology.

Hours of Work: Monday—Friday 8am to 5pm generally, however hours may be flexible based on the needs of the individuals served and their families/advocates.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid Texas’s driver’s license and must be insurable by Agency insurance.

Physical Requirements: light lifting under 5 lbs., moderate carrying 15-55 lbs, simple grasping, walking, sitting, standing, operating a motor vehicle, operating office equipment including a computer, ability to see and hear (with aid), ability to read, write, and count, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to work closely with others, ability to pass the Preventative Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) Training as well as all other physical requirements for this position
