Salary: $127,822 to $139,675 Annually Salary is based on education & experience

Job Description: Works in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical and psychiatric needs of patients with major mental illnesses. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment as part of a clinical treatment team in the provision of compassionate, efficient, and recovery-oriented patient care. Some travel within 7 county areas may be required.
Education: Requires a Master of Science degree in Nursing and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing in specialty area of psychiatry for advanced practice. Experience: Required: Experience as Nurse Practitioner working with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness helpful. Hours of Work: Generally, Monday—Friday 8am-5pm; adjustments in work hours warranted to meet the needs of the program. Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse with current Texas license; National Certification as Nurse Practitioner; Advanced practice recognition by Texas Board of Nursing; Valid Texas driver’s license and must be insurable by Agency. Physical Requirements: Ability to drive a vehicle, communicate effectively both verbally and written, ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time; good computer skills a must; ability to lift/carry under 30lbs; ability to pass the Preventative Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) Training as well as all other physical requirements for this position.
