/Salary: $80,071 to $87,496 Annually Salary is based on education & experience

Job Description: Performs responsible administrative nursing and professional nursing duties within the RN legal scope of practice. Direct and coordinate nursing activities in the Intermediate Care Facility for persons with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF-ID), Texas Home Living (TxHmL) and Home and Community-based Services (HCS) Waiver Programs. RN is responsible for an awareness of client conditions and problems and for maintaining an acceptable level of nursing care within all the programs; Serves as responsible person in delivery of medical services and nursing evaluations including comprehensive nursing assessments; Monitor the delivery of medical related needs training, medications, and side effects to ensure quality of services is delivered in a timely manner; Coordinate with other team members when medical issues arise and implement needed changes; Instructs, evaluates, and performs delegation of nursing duties to unlicensed assistive personnel and will provide clinical supervision/oversight of LVN staff in accordance with professional, legal, and ethical nursing standards of MHMRABV’s policy and procedures and State law; May participate in service planning team meetings; Completes the required documentation as outlined with the policy and procedures of MHMRABV and the Texas HHSC IDD Services ICF-ID and TxHmL and HCS waiver programs and guidelines. This position must comply with CMS’s Omnibus COVID-19 Health Care Staff Vaccination rules published in the Federal Register on November 5, 2021. COVID-19 vaccine immunization is required and must be completed prior to hiring.
Education: Graduate of a professional nursing education program.
Experience: Prefer experience working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and knowledge delegation rules and nurse practices in of ICF-ID, TxHmL and HCS Medicaid Waiver Programs rules, billing guidelines, standards, and methods. Requires skill in determining individuals needs assessment with the ability to respond to changes and ability to work independently as well as with a team; good organizational skills are necessary.
Hours of Work: Generally, Monday—Friday 8am-5pm; adjustments in work hours warranted to meet the needs of the program.
Licensure/Certifications: Licensed in the State of Texas to practice as a Registered Nurse, as governed by the Texas Board of Nursing. Must have reliable transportation, a safe driving record, a valid driver’s license and must be insurable by Agency insurance.
Physical Requirements: Ability to drive a vehicle, communicate effectively both verbally and written, ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time; good computer skills necessary; ability to lift/carry under 30lbs; ability to pass the Preventative Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) Training as well as all other physical requirements for this position.
Facility/Location: IDD Waiver/ICF-IDD Services, Bryan, TX. Will require travel within MHMRABV’s seven county catchment area.
