Salary: $47,259 to $53,930 Annually Salary is based on experience and education

Job Description: Responsible for staff development and training of all new employees and refresher of all active employees; responsible for management of training database and timely reporting of information to the executive management and staff. Ensures that adherence to all rules, laws, contractual requirements, and policies are successfully implemented and maintained by departmental and agency wide procedures. The SSO also serves as the client’s rights officer and is responsible for the investigation of all alleged rights violations. Preferred previous experience in delivering training programs, should have strong organizational skills, attention to details and strong management skills in a fast-paced environment. Also requires excellent communication skills, conflict resolution, responsive listening skills, and problem solving which is concrete and solution focused. Also requires extensive computer skills including use of spreadsheets, word processing, database management, Microsoft publisher, and constant contact.

Education: Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or Communication, other degrees will be considered based upon previous work experience.

Experience: Proven background in Education, Training, and/or Conflict Resolution.

Hours of Work: 8am-5pm, Monday—Friday; adjustment in work hours may be warranted to meet the needs of the program.

Licenses/Certifications:  Valid Texas driver’s license and must be insurable by Agency insurance.

Physical Requirements: Sight, hearing, ability to walk, talk, lift to 30lbs., ability to communicate effectively and verbally and in writing.
